See what you missed by learning more about the CT 200h art car, checking out the bands, and viewing our photo gallery!

Check out how Patssi Valdez and Vyal Reyes transformed a beautiful CT 200h into a work of cultural expression. These internationally renowned Latino artists from L.A. used the vehicle as their canvas to explore the intersections between engineering and art, luxury and culture. The name of the artwork is "Art Galleries & Back Alleys," and was made possible through a partnership between Lexus and Self Help Graphics & Art. This hybrid vehicle was originally a prototype – in the car industry, prototypes are usually not street-ready and need to be crushed and recycled once their task is fulfilled. Instead, the artists turned it into an impressive work of art that incorporates imagery and techniques often featured in Latino art and culture.

For over 40 years, Self Help Graphics & Art has advanced Latino art by supporting and presenting emerging and established Latino artists through its facilities and programming in East Los Angeles and beyond.

This masterpiece was unveiled on April 20th at a Self Help Graphics & Art's annual gala. Plus, stay tuned for upcoming exhibits and events featuring "Art Galleries & Back Alleys."

On the evening of April 12th in Los Angeles, CA Vida Lexus presented "Poesía y Percusión," an exclusive event with performances by dynamic Latino poets, Joe Hernández-Kolski and Mayda Del Valle, and the presentation of the Lexus "Pursuit of Perfection Award" to Sheila E. Guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers as host, T. Lopez, introduced the poets who performed to a captivated crowd.

Sheila E.’s career achievements and philanthropic work were showcased in a spirited video that preceded the award presentation and a not-to-be missed performance. Sheila E. and the band’s energy got everyone dancing as the evening was made even more memorable when members of the E. family, including patriarch Pete Escovedo, joined in the jam session to the delight of the audience.

Lexus joyfully partnered with Alegria Magazine to announce the arrival of this groundbreaking publication. With in-depth coverage of the best of Latino culture, it’s ideal for upscale readers who treasure the eclectic and multicultural reality that is Southern California today.

On April 4, 2012 at Unici Casa in Culver City, CA Lexus presented the official launch of Alegria Magazine, with an exciting and intimate evening that celebrated Latino culture. Angelenos experienced the pages of Alegria come to life. Guests enjoyed the sounds of Latin Grammy nominated act, La Santa Cecilia, as well as the unique pairing of DJ Stephanie Loayza and Violinist Esther Anaya.
